Kitchen Essentials

Before I share my NEW RECIPE tomorrow, I'm sharing my favorite kitchen essentials! Check out my list below, and let me know if I need to add any of your favs!!

1) Chef's Knife - a good quality knife is so important. Prep is the hardest part of cooking for me, and you need a good knife to do a good job! I like a knife with a wide blade and metal handle. Getting a good knife is kind of like a car - you have to try a few out to see what you like!

2) Knife Sharpener - YOU NEED THIS! If you feel like your cooking prep is a chore, it is probably because your knives are dull! Sharpening my knives was a game changer for my cooking.

3) Microplane - this is great for grating everything from parmesan cheese to lemon zest! I really love the long handle on mine, and it perfectly fits over most of the bowls I use.

4) Kitchen Shears - don't use your baby's crayola school scissors in the kitchen - get a pair of good, sharp kitchen shears to do everything from opening packaging to butchering a chicken. I use mine often to cut pizza slices!

5) Measuring Cups - I can usually eye the amount of seasonings I need, but if you are writing recipes like me, you need to be precise. Get these!!!

6) Wisk - nothing can replace a wisk for eggs or making homemade whipped cream!

7) Wine Opener - duh!! You don't know pain until you are home, with a bottle of red, and no opener! Get one like this that doubles as a bottle opener.

8) Salad Tosser - I have realized that I really like a well dressed salad. I want every ingredient in every single bite. Salad tossers are essential - I got mine on a trip to Ghana, and they make an appearance every time I have a dinner party!

9) Honey Dipper - nothing works like this to drizzle honey over pancakes or your favorite dessert!

You can check out my kitchen essentials and get them for yourself in my Amazon store!! Check it out here!! ✨
