Just when we thought that all was lost, we turned to the last resort that had been there all along - THE BACKYARD. 2020 hosted the triumphant comeback of the backyard hangout, and I was introduced to so many things that will define my future summers’ fun. Here are my summer essentials - the things that made this summer feel a little more normal and a LOT more fun ☀️
MINNIDIP
Adult. Luxury. Pool. That’s really all I needed to hear.
When the summer temperatures started to rise, I discovered Minnidip - a company, based in Chicago and founded by Emily Vaca, that created an adult version of the “kiddie” pool. Since COVID is still in these streets, I am staying away from my crowded community pool. Whenever I need to cool off, I blow up my pool, fill with water, and bathe in the peace of my own backyard. My Minnidip has shown me a new type of summer bliss, and I am so glad to be partnering with their team, creating content all summer long!

IGLOO RETRO SERIES COOLER
This cooler is one of the COOLEST items I have found this summer! IGLOO created a line of summer coolers, reminiscent of the coolers our parents had when we were young. *Oh nostalgia - you make me buy so much stuff* This cooler works really well too - this ice stayed cold all day long in the heat! Check out IGLOO’s Throwback Line here - not the exact color that I have shown here, but still very cute!
JENI’S FROSE SORBET
This stuff is a spoonful of summer - fruity, bright, and super smooth. All of Jeni’s ice creams are so delicious - I guess I caught this one on a good day, because it’s my new FAVORITE!
(Oh, and my friend Erika mixed this stuff with some rose wine in the blender and we. were. LIT!) Sold at Whole Foods, Publix, and other stores, but this sorbet is best when you get it fresh from one of Jeni’s locations or at their online store.
These damn hot dogs
I tried these hotdogs back in March, and I thought they were really good. I had some friends over, and now the only thing they want me to grill is these HOTDOGS! One friend, who is a pescatarian, ate TWO. She couldn’t resist!
These hotdogs are all beef and made a high quality ingredients, and you can tell after the first bite. Pair these with brioche hot dogs buns and thank me later! You can get them at Whole Foods.
